ORGANIST:
Graeme is also an organist and an avid supporter of new music for the instrument. He has performed contemporary organ concerts across the US and Canada, resulting in over 25 world and US premieres and focusing on rarely-performed repertoire of both established award-winning composers and those soon-to-be discovered. His events always include an interactive educational facet, often going beyond pre- or post-concert talks and instead inviting audiences up to the console to explore the instrument and look at scores.
Graeme is an active member of the American Guild of Organists, a co-founder of Vital Organ Project, and a board member of the American Center of Church Music. These relationships have fruited in many ways, including an 8-hour performance of John Cage's Organ2/ASLSP, the commissioning of new works for organ, and the showcase an Orgelkids instrument across four Michigan cities.
As a church musician, Graeme has held rewarding positions in Minnesota, Michigan, and Ohio, including Organ Scholar at Cincinnati's Calvary Episcopal Church under the direction of composer-organist Howard Helvey. Graeme has extensive experience providing music for Lutheran, Episcopal, Methodist, and Presbyterian congregations. He currently serves as the Director of Music Ministries at Redeemer Lutheran in Hinsdale, IL.
